HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ WindowsUpdate

13. Find the keys  WUServer  and  WUStatusServer  in the right pane.

14. Right-click on each of them, and then select  Delete.

15. Select  Yes to continue  with your actions.

16. Go back to the service window, right-click  Windows Update  and select  Start.

Now try updating again to see if you still get the same problem.

# 6: Turn off or disable Windows firewall settings on your PC

1. Go to  start menu
2. Go to  the control panel
3. Click on  Windows Firewall  there
