Fix Error Solution #2: Clear Cache and Data

Since Error 505 can be caused due to cache conflict or data crash, so you can try clearing cache and data of Google Play Store, Google Service Framework and Download Manager. To do the same, follow the below steps.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click on Apps or Application Manager option.
  3. Now, swipe right further to open All tab.
  4. Now, scroll down and look for Google Play Store app. Click on it.
  5. Here, you will see two buttons – 1. Clear Cache and 2. Clear Data. Click on them.
  6. Now, go back and look for Google Service Framework and Download Manager app. Follow the same above step for them too.

The reason behind the installation error code 505 might be Google play store updates.

That sometimes caused the problem in dealing with app installation. Resolving the issue is important to make your play store ready for future updation and installation.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Visit Application Manager or Apps
  3. Select Google Play Store
  4. Click on Uninstalling Updates
  5. A Message will appear ‘Change play store app to factory version’- Accept it
  6. Now Open Google play store>It will refresh the updates within 5 to 10 minutes (So you need to keep your internet connection on while Google play store is updating its store for new updates.)
